Ontario is hoping to attract big business to its province by offering online security for its ecommerce and financial services.
A new government website has been launched to let businesses and their customers sign up for a two-year security agreement, which could be worth as much as $1 million annually.
It will also provide an ecommerce security plan for businesses to use.
The government is also looking at whether it can create a registry for small businesses to share information about fraud prevention and other security measures.
In addition, the government is working with provincial universities and other educational institutions to develop a secure online education portal.
The new online portal is being launched in collaboration with the province’s Information Technology and Innovation Canada.
It is being managed by the Ministry of Community and Social Services.
The site also offers information on the government’s ecommerce policy and policies.
Ontario is one of the most populous provinces in Canada.
